Something you can really wake me up for, any time of the day, is sushi.
When I was younger, I always thought suhsi was disgusting and gross because of the seaweed. But then I tried it for the first time and I instantly fell in love.
I still don’t really know why I actually like it that much, but I do know that it is my favourite dish. I share this love for sushi with two of my friends: Lou and Pauline. We go regularly on suhsi dates together. We even have a Snapchat group named Sushi where we share our pictures while eating.
Something that many people don’t understand is that I actually don’t really like raw fish in my sushi. I like vegetarian sushi more, thats why I always order the Veggie Combo at my favourite sushi restaurant where I will write about soon. I like my sushi to be cold, with a little bit of wasabi (a really really really small piece) and a bit of soy sauce too. Just enough to give it a better taste.
You can find a simple recipe below to make your own sushi for two at home. (For those who do love raw fish;).)
Ingredients:
-1 batch prepared suhsi rice (sushi rice is more sticky than normal rice) -6 sheets sushi seaweed -100 g raw salmon -1 avocado -1/4 cucumber -4 oz cream cheese
Instructions:
1. Place the seaweed on a bamboo mat and cover the sheet with a layer of sushi rice. Smooth gently with a paddle so everything is covered with an even layer.
2. Layer avocado, salmon, cream cheese and cucumber on the rice and roll it up tightly. Slice it with a sharp knife. You can serve it with soy sauce.
3. Now it is ready to eat.
I hope you guys enjoy your meal and my today’s blog!
